CONFESSION: I really dislike the choice to make the elves look like giant bugs in DA:2. The reason why the elves were pursued in the first place was because of their culture, not their looks. The discrimination of the elves’ culture led to the superiority over the elves in all aspects and making it simply about appearance takes away the entire reason elves are second class in the game; it also destroys the purpose of the Dalish.

The elves are supposed to look different in the next game. The Developers said to expect a cross between Origins and DA2

I’m not even quite sure why. I mean, yeah, I like the elven and dwarven origins and I love the elven and dwarven characters, but there’s so much fantasy with elves and dwarves or expies of them… It’s not like they’re super rare and special.

They are overused in most fantasy games. If they ever do Origins for another game, there should be other choices like a Qunari.

yeah and its really hypocritical. I really don’t care what Origins people prefer as long as people DO NOT GET TRASHED for the Origins they like.

It’s really sad, actually… and it makes me wonder if people resent my work because it features a Cousland. I love my Myra girl, but it makes me sad/sick to think that others won’t appreciate her just because I made her a Cousland.

People are close minded and stubborn. I know the only people who read my fan fiction are probably the ones who play Couslands Or Human Mages or Female Shepards

Tbh I think that is part of it for a few people. Not all of course, some simply like not being human. Me, I prefer human. *shrugs*

But even if they have a legit reason, I don’t see why people have to trash on the other. Let people enjoy what they enjoy and stop trying to bust their bubble. But it’s a common thing in all fandoms.

I play Guild Wars 2 and see people whine because there are no dwarves in it. There is small non human race they could play called Asura but people complain because they are not human. The Guild Wars 2 developers made the Dwarves extinct and people resent that.

So I really don’t take the most of the human haters seriously.

I’ve played all the origins so many times, they all bore me now.

Kind of like this confession, seen it all before zzzzz.

I actually liked the elves in Origins a lot both Dalish and City Elf. But DA2 made me HATE the Dalish. And sadly the City Elves did not matter.

This beautiful grey kitty is Pixie, my sister gave her to me for my twentieth birthday, my first one after the deaths of my two little brothers, she and I had an instant connection, she had such personality and it was love at first sight, we played alot, she always slept between my feet and wanted in and out access to my room constantly, she licked your nose EVERY TIME you picked her up, and her tail flicked if you said her name, every single time. A few weeks ago, she wasn’t feeling well. And something felt wrong. My stepdad was nice enough to take her to the vet as he loved her too. I really wanted him to take a box, because she hated the car so much she flips out. I wanted to go with them, but he was running really late, and we had little money. It was just supposed to be a checkup. They said they were just going to keep her overnight and call us in the morning. All night, i had my best friend with me, reassuring me it was probably nothing, but….. I didn’t feel good, or secure.

The next morning I was told she had a tumor in her stomach, and didn’t make it when they tried to remove it.

I haven’t felt this way since my brothers died, and I’m just now finding it within me to post this. It’s been in drafts for nearly a month now. I could only stomach doing this little drawing of her along with a list of things I hope I never forget. She was that one pet, and friend in my life that was always there. And even though she was barely three years old, I felt as though she’d always been there. Even now, i’m scared of a lack of sympathy because she was “just a cat.” The hardest part, is lowering my sketchbook, expecting to see her at the foot of my bed, looking lazy and prissy, like she owned me and the world, even though she’d only seen the inside of two houses. I just wanted the world to know how much love my heart had for her, and what she gave me for her short time here. And of everything, I only wish I could’ve said goodbye, and felt her rough kiss on my nose.

Believe it or not, she practically adopted my mom’s kitten, Libby, when we got her last year…

Even now, I feel so lost and unable to draw without her there. She was more than a pet or a cat. She was my baby, and if anyone could ever make me feel like a friend, a mommy, and like I was amazing in every way, it was her.

You have my utmost sympathy. I had a similar experience and I know how devastating it is. Pets are not just animals they are furry family members. They give so much and ask for so little in return. Keep the love and memories in your heart.

Fergus was likely saved by Flemeth and was under coma like spell. As for why she saved him? I think a future son will play a part in a future game or she did it because the Couslands go back 800 years and it was their ancestor who Bann Conobar;’s land and title.

Fergus is found by the Chasind, not Flemeth.

But the Chasind mostly likely are working for Flemeth to keep him alive and safe. :)

Maybe she had a deal with Sarim: he helped her kill Conobar and in return he’d get the land and the title and has had a respect for the Couslands since. Maybe she did it because she saw he would be useful. Who knows?

That’s entirely possible. As he’s my cannon Warden’s brother, I like to think that he remarried………. actually, call me goofy, but I kinda always wanted him to hook up with Leliana. I think they’d be cute together. :3

One of my canons is that he marries Ser Jory’s Widow who was in Highever. And he adopts her child. Cousland/Alistair realize who she is and just tell her Jory died honorably. In my current fan fiction, I plan to have Fergus have a fling with Leliana before she leaves for Orlais
